Harrison C. “Harry” Jamison, an internationally famed petroleum geologist, AAPG GeoLegend and a longtime supporter and leader of the AAPG Foundation, died March 4 at his home in Tucson, Ariz. He was 100.

After 10 months, 60 applications, 12 video interviews and eight in-person interviews, I am proud to announce that we finally have a new executive director! Believe me, this has been a challenge. We have had applicants from all walks of life, from a fireman to a therapist. Fortunately for AAPG, we had many of our own members step forward to put their applications up for review, including past officers of the organization.

The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) is pleased to announce that Thomas Wilker has been appointed as its new executive director. A longstanding member of AAPG, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), and the Houston Geological Society (HGS), Wilker brings a wealth of experience, established business acumen, and a passion for the geosciences to the position.
